Meet Jessica Valenzuela, LCSW

Jessica is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing virtual and in-person services, based on client needs and preferences.
Jessica seeks to empower her clients, believing that clients are the experts in their lives. Jessica’s approach to therapy is client-centered and collaborative, hoping to create a warm and authentic environment for all clients where clients feel safe. Jessica believes that therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and utilizes several therapeutic approaches including CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness, with a focus on utilizing trauma-informed best practices. Jessica’s areas of treatment interest include chronic illness, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, women’s challenges, and life transitions.
When not working, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family and dog, reading, quilting, and finding time for swimming and Pilates.

• CBT for Older Adults Training and Consultation through Optimal Aging Center
• Supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, loss, chronic illness, and dementia
• Experience working with individuals across the lifespan including children, adolescents and adults
• Experience working with older adults and their families
• Experience leading caregiving groups
• Experience supporting adults living with severe and persistent mental illness
